LetΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s go back to the Middle East in the 18th and 19th century. Welcome to Belly Dance Trance! This is our take on belly dancing, an expressive dance which emphasizes complex movements of the torso. We will always start with fluid movements for the head and hands. Working our way to percussive hip hits, lifts and twist. For our finale, we will go through layers upon layers of shimmies. Get acquainted with all your core muscles. Let’s get this belly dancing workout started — get ready to shimmy and shake it!

From Los Angeles, Jacqui started dancing when she took up ballet at 5 years old. She tap danced till age 8 and in the beginning of the century, she discovered Belly Dancing by accident. She fell in love with belly dancingsΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’ rich history and mysticism. She has now been teaching professionally for 3 years. Jacqui is a certified belly dancer and has attended numerous master classes such as with LA Belly Dance Academy and Belly Dancing by Cory Zamora. Belly dancing has been a life changing experience for her. It has brought about positive changes in her life. She is excited to be able to share her belly dancing workout classes with everybody at Hip Shake Fitness.
