What’s the best way to spend a Saturday night? Dancing to Bollywood Abs of course! I was lucky enough to be dancing again with the amazing Ashley and Hip Shake Fitness founder, Charlene aka my wonderful sister. So let’s go back on our blog time machine and check out some behind the scenes of our September Bollywood Abs shoot.
Bollywood Abs Tutorial Video
We love Ashley because she’s game for anything. We threw a last minute tutorial to her dance task and she threw a choreographed piece right back. We did a dance fitness tutorial to Dillon Francis, DJ Snake’s Get Low but with a Bollywood Abs twist! We had to learn the choreography the day of and it was A LOT of fun. It’s now up on our YouTube!

Level 1 Bollywood Abs
This is our second go around with Bollywood Abs and I was very excited about dancing in this series again. This style really checks your core and balance without being too intimidating. One of my favorite moves from level 1 is the body roll with the step back. It makes you feel sexy and trust me, that rarely happens to me and it will happen to you too in this series.

Let’s Go Level 2
We hope your core is ready for some changes because Bollywood Abs level 2 is bringing it. I remember being sore on my abs and my arms after this workout, but it felt really good. There’s a lot of arm movements in level 2 and I sometimes have a hard time putting those together with my moving feet. Don’t worry, practice makes perfect and you can always press pause or even rewind.

Bollywood Abs Level 3
The best part about being a dancer for our shoots is that we get a fantastic workout for one day. With that being said, this is our third 30 minute dance fitness workout to shoot and boy, were we sore after! Bollywood Abs level 3 definitely has high intensity movements, but Ashley is good at reminding you about doing low impact if needed. I love the bounciness of this level and even though we’ve been dancing for about two hours, this might be my favorite of the three.
